Steampunk Wings by stryda429 Steampunk Wings by stryda429
Created following the tutorial: [link] from :iconyazzzle: , check it out, it is an awesome guide. I did add on about 10cm to all the wood lengths.

I haven't weathered the material, I thought it looked cool as it, plus I tend to over do weathering.

Materials aren't the same, and I haven't got the wings opening yet, not sure if the staples will hold.

I used UHU adhesive to stick everything together, a bit easier to use and buy in larger quantities than super glue for me.
Those orange straps are actually luggage straps which have been glued between two MDF boards to which the wings have been glued.
I wanted to use nails for this but the wood would of split rather badly, fingers crossed the glue holds.

Fun fact: Apparently UHU adhesive held a world record for supporting a 4 ton truck: [link]
